Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci was born on December 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti), Romania. Nadia is the Romanian Olympic gymnast. She is the only person to be recognized with 10/10 scores in an Olympic performance. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at age six. Comaneci would go on to be Romania's gymnastics coach. The first time she competed at the national junior championships of 1969 and finished 13th. She took the title in the year 1970. In 1972, in the communist nations' meet for junior athletes before the Olympics she won three gold medals. In 1973 and '74 she was the all-around junior champ. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals at her senior debut international competition, held in 1975. It was the first time she had competed as a senior. She was the first female to ever successfully complete a backwards double salto while dismounting from an uneven parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment industry as a performer as figure skater. Along with her sister Nina Wayne she was part of the traveling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career in entertainment when she was in her teens. She started her career as a figure skater, performing alongside her sister Nina Wayne as part of the traveling entertainment shows known as Ice Capades. The shows featured theatrical ice-skating shows.
